FAQs

Does my dog need to be sterilised to attend?

Yes, if your dog is older than 6 months they do need to be spayed or neutered to attend Carefree Canines. This is to avoid dominant behaviour, unwanted pregnancies and to promote a balanced pack dynamic.

Does my dog need to be up to date on vaccinations and deworming?

Yes. All members of the pack need to be up to date with all vaccinations and deworming, vaccination books must be submitted at signup. Chris also keeps a close eye on behaviour and stools to assure the health of the pack and individual dogs.

Must I pack a lunch, toys and bedding for my pooch?

There is no need to send bedding, toys or food with your dog unless they have health issues or specific dietary requirements. All dogs are given a small lunch to replenish the energy they expend, and help them to develop good “table manners”.

Can I do a trial day before committing to a package?

Absolutely! Join us for a Once-off Playdate to see how much your dog loves it.

If I need to shift or cancel a day, how much notice do I need to give?

If something comes up and you need to move or cancel one of your regular days, you need to give us a minimum of 12 hours notice before the start of that day so that we can plan accordingly. If you cancel with less time, unfortunately that day will be forfeited.

What if it’s raining?

Chris keeps a very close eye on the weather for the week. In the case that the weather is too bad to run, he will cancel the day and shift it to a day that is convenient for you.
